ABOUT THE PROJECT
THE IDEA
The Chef's Taste was created as a Sydney cooking school and food tour business. The website aimed to showcase a diverse range of culinary experiences, from cooking classes at various skill levels to exclusive food tours highlighting the best dining spots in the city. The idea was to create an engaging platform that reflects the culinary world's fun, creativity, and passion while maintaining a professional, user-friendly design.
THE CLIENT
This project was developed as a demo website to showcase my web design skills. There is no client in the traditional sense; instead, The Chef's Taste serves as a conceptual business designed to demonstrate my capabilities in creating high-quality, fully functional websites. The primary focus is on the site's structure, visual appeal, and functionality as a tool for promoting a culinary brand.

The Chef's Taste website was built from the ground up, focusing on a custom design that reflects the essence of a high-quality culinary experience. I used a warm colour palette that evokes the feel of fresh ingredients and gourmet dishes while keeping the layout clean and minimal. This allows the content to stand out and guides the user's attention to critical areas of the website, such as class offerings and booking options.
RESPONSIVE DESIGN
In today’s mobile-driven world, websites must work seamlessly across all devices. The Chef’s Taste was designed to be fully responsive, ensuring it looks and functions beautifully on smartphones, tablets, and desktops. FUNCTIONALITY
While the Chef’s Taste website is a demo, it includes all the functional elements you’d expect in a live website. The site demonstrates how a functional business website should operate from a fully integrated contact form that sends inquiries directly to my email to clear calls-to-action for booking classes or food tours.
